Surya Bharti School is a school for poor children supported by NGO Children Aid(Bodhgaya Children Aid Charitable Trust) in India.  The school was established in 2001, it was a small school, it became a big school where about 400 students (1 to 10 grade) study in.  This school became very famous in Bodhgaya as an elite school providing good quality education competing with private schools for poor children with tuition fee free.  Hundreds of children take the entrance exam to study in the school every year.  Japanese language is also taught in the school as third language in 2 periods in a week.  Ex-students graduated from the school go to colleges in local area.  Surya Bharti School provides chance of education for poor children, and encourages them to realize their dreams.

Nov. 2001,  Established “Children School Mahurar” 

Jan. 2002, Approved by Bihar state as NGO( registered No. 3683-3579)

Feb. 2002, our school was introduced in the program of Tokyo TV line, Sunday big special “Elegant Japanese lady oversea”.

Sep.2002~Sep.2005 Opened small schools in 5 villages.

Dec.2005, moved to next village, Bapunagar.

Nov.2007, the school name has been changed to “Surya Bharti School”(Sun of India).

March 2012, First year students graduated from Surya Bharti School.

March 2013, Second year students graduated from Surya Bharti School.

March 2014, Third year students graduated from Surya Bharti School.

April 2014, Our school appeared on ”Japanese Women who married in mysterious land No.6" of Sunday Big Variety program by Tokyo TV. 

March 2015, Fourth year students graduated from Surya Bharti School.
